Shift templates: dividing the trading day

Set up the shifts your station runs: see how they cover 24 hours, add a night shift that runs past midnight, and rename or retime one.

01 How the day is divided

Every shift is opened from a template.

Go to Daily operations → Shift templates and choose the outlet.
Read The trading day.The bar shows how your shifts cover 24 hours, and any hours nothing covers.

02 Add a shift

A name, a start and an end.

Under Add a template, type the Template name.This is what the cashier picks when opening a shift.
Set Nominal start and Nominal end.An end before the start, such as 22:00 to 06:00, is treated as running past midnight.
Set the Sort order and choose Add template.The order is the order shifts are offered in.

03 Change one

Times are the plan. Real shifts open and close when they do.

Choose Edit beside a template, change its name or times, and choose Save changes.Shifts that were already opened are not touched.

Done. Every hour you trade belongs to a shift. Open it in OCTYN.
