01 The cases
Every pattern the watch found, kept until you close it.
- Open Anomaly Watch in the side panel. It opens on Cases. The watch reads the books every morning. The list shows what is open and being looked into, most serious first. Anomaly Watch is an add-on — free in your trial, then added from Billing.
- Narrow the list with the search box, the status list, Every check and All outlets. There are nine checks: stock gap, cash not banked, nozzle sales, test litres, UPI shift, repeated shorts, edits after close, odd credit slips and credit drift.
- Choose a case.It opens beside the list — below it on a phone — with one sentence saying what was found, and when it was first and last seen.
02 The proof
The chart, and the shifts or slips involved.
- Read the chart and the rows under it.Each check shows its own evidence — for a nozzle, its litres day by day against its usual range.
- Choose Open the source to go to the screen the figures came from.
- Choose Explain this for three short paragraphs: what it may mean, innocent explanations to rule out, and what to check first. This part is AI-written. Every number in it is checked against the case; weigh the words against the evidence.
03 Say what you did
A case stays open until you close it.
- Choose Looking into it while you find out.
- Choose Resolved and note what you found and what you did.If the pattern shows up again on a later day, the case reopens on its own.
- Choose False alarm and say why it is normal. The watch learns from this: next time it needs a bigger deviation before it raises the same thing.
- Choose Snooze, pick how long under For, and give the reason. The watch keeps recording it, but it stays out of the morning brief until then.
- Under Notes and history, type what you checked and choose Add note. Choose Case file for a PDF of the case. The history shows who did what and cannot be edited.
04 People and trends
The same cases, seen by person and over time.
- Open People and choose a name.Attendants, logins and credit customers with a case about them, most at risk first, with twelve weeks of figures and all their cases together.
- Open Trends.Findings by outlet and week, the money in flagged cases by month, and how many closed cases came back within four weeks.
05 Tune the checks
Stricter, more relaxed, or off where a check does not fit.
- Open Settings. For each check, tick or clear On and choose Strict, Normal or Relaxed.Strict raises smaller deviations; relaxed only large ones. These save as you change them.
- With more than one outlet, choose By outlet to set one outlet differently, or Off here.
06 The morning brief
Up to three sentences on the most serious new patterns. A quiet day sends nothing.
- Still in Settings, under Morning brief, choose the time under Send at.
- Tick whether to email it as well, and whether you want the Monday digest, then choose Save brief settings.
- To get it as a notification, open Account & security on your phone and, under Push notifications, choose Enable on this device. Each device opts in separately. On an iPhone or iPad, install OCTYN to the Home Screen first.
Done. Anomaly Watch is the owner's. To share it with a manager or accountant, give them the permission in Station setup → Users & access; findings that name staff need a second permission. Open it in OCTYN.
