01 Forgot your password
You do not need the owner. You need your email.
- On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?
- Type the email address you sign in with and choose Send reset link.Octyn emails you a link that works once.
- Open the link in the email. On Set a new password, type a new password twice and save it.At least 12 characters, and not one you use anywhere else. You are signed in straight away.
02 A link instead of a password
For a phone you would rather not type a password on.
- On the sign-in page, choose Email me a sign-in link.
- Type your email address and choose Email me a sign-in link again.
- Open the link on the same phone or computer.You are signed in without a password. If two-factor sign-in is on, Octyn still asks for the code.
03 Changing your email
Your email is also your sign-in, so Octyn is careful with it.
- Go to Account & security and find Email.
- Type the New email and choose Change email.Both the old and the new address are emailed. Nothing changes until you confirm from the new one, so a mistyped address cannot lock you out.
Done. Being locked out is a two-minute problem, and you can fix it yourself. Open it in OCTYN.
